My mother is an Anne Tyler fan and was glad I came home with a book of hers that she hadn't read yet. She finished reading it a couple of days ago and has returned it to me, so it's back on my TBR pile.
It's been a while since I have read an Anne Tyler book and I think it's because her books tend to stay with me. Her characters and settings tug at my brain cells long after the actual plot lines and sentences have faded away. I have the feeling that Pearl, Cody, Ezra, and Jenny will not be easily forgotten.
