I''d been wanting to read this for a while and finally got around to it. I wasn''t diappointed. I liked this book a lot. I thought Sookie was a believable heroine, who was different from those in so many other vampire novels. She was easy to like and so was Bill, despite his rough edges. I also like Harris'' writing style.
After having done a little searching on Amazon to see what happens in future books, however, I don''t think I''ll continue this series. Sounds like it gets a little to complicated for me.
I am glad I read the first installment though. As a stand-alone, I love it.
