Nursery Crimes

This is the first book in the "Mommy Track Mysteries" and I loved it. While I am not a mother myself, I frequently empathized with the situation of our heroine, Juliet Applebaum.
Juliet has given up her law career to stay home with her 1.75 kids (she is eight months pregnant with her second child) and is bored stiff at the thought of another game of Candyland.
When the head of an elite preschool (which Juliet failed to even merit an application for) is murdered, she becomes obsessed with solving the mystery. Aided by her screenwriter husband, his celebrity contacts, and her pals from the DA's office, Juliet boldly goes forth into Jessica Fletcher-ville.
A quick and satisfying read - I can't wait to get the next in the series, which is called "The Big Nap."

Just a note to say that I have passed this on to an esteemed member of the Mommy Track, my sister (bcer 'lisamommy')
My sister loaned me this book, and I am still reading it. So far, a pretty cool story.
