Gratefully received, to be released at the convention in October. Thanks from the convention committee.
Picked up from the Table of Temptation at the Con. I couldn't resist this nice copy even though I've read it before... it was a while ago so I will re-read it. I picked up another Miss Silver as well - bad cat!

I love these old-fashioned murder mysteries. There's no sensationalism & I think I like the good manners, instead of the brash, overbearing sort in modern "thrillers". Maudie had more of a bit-part in this one - I can picture her sitting there all prim & proper, fading into the background & not missing a trick - mind like a steel trap. This is perhaps not the best of the Miss Silvers but it's still an excellent tale. I read this one about 20 years ago so it was nice to visit again.
Hodder did an excellent job of this 2006 re-issue - lovely covers & not flimsy-feeling. Thanks for sending it to the ABC for me to pick up Davros-10 - I'm sure I needed the extra book or 2.
