"Though most men had returned to their hometowns after World War II, few came back to the tiny village of Magrit, Minnesota. Irini, a nineteen year-old woman, works in the Scientific Kitchen at Margaret Mill, a cereal factory, with most of Magrit's other eligible bachelorettes. Hoping to promote his business and attract some suitors for his staff, the owner of the mill forms a women's baseball team called the Sweetwheat Sweethearts. I brought several books from Italy from my hotel bookshelf, this was one of them.

I tried to read this book, but just couldn't get into it. Because there are so many books waiting to be read, I'll skip this one. I hope someone likes it better!

Tämäkin löytyi sieltä Tammer-hotellista. En ole ehtinyt vielä lukemaan. Haastetta lukemiseen tuo se että tämä on englanninkielinen. No eiköhän se mene, oon lukenut ulkolaisia kirjoja ennenkin.

Sorry to tell but I did not get very far during reading this book. First of all, I fell asleep during reading (not new to me though) and then I did not have time to finish reading. So I hope someone else does have the time and effort to read this book completely. Happy journey!

Jyväskylä miitistä nappasin. The Jane Austen Book Club:in olen suomen kielellä lukenut. Tässä voi jonkun aikaa mennä, mutta veinhän miittiin englanninkielistä niin saa kait sieltä sitten ottaakin. :D Kiitoksia luettavasta.
