Another great book by Greg Bear, master of the "Hard SF" genre. This is the prequel to Eon, and covers an early adventure of Ser Olmy Ap Sennon, one of the main charachters of both Eon and its sequel Eternity.
I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as either Eon or Eternity, but it was still very good, and it shed some light on the history of Olmy who is one of the most intriguing and mysterious charachters in this series. Definitely worth the read.
