Having released some books at the charity shop today, of course I couldn't resist picking up a few more......
...1 week later. I read this on the plane coming back from Barcelona last night and finished it off this morning. It's a funny love story interspersed with with Mexican recipes. It's reminiscent of La Cucina, which I read a few months ago before I discovered Bookcrossing, but I'm sure it pre-dates LC and is more original. The recipes sound divine, but too much like hard work! Pre Bookcrossing, I also read another Laura Esquivel book - the one based on her father, a telegraph operator (I don't remember the title) - which I would score slightly better than this one. I will release the book back to the charity shop next visit.
