The story begins in India with an arranged marriage and continues with the story of that family. Several of the characters stuck with me past the ending of the book.

Interesting cultural story. Left at hostel in Istanbul.
My daughter, who lives in London, had found it in a hostel in Istabbul and brought it back to Canada for me to read. I enjoy learning of other cultures.
