From the back cover: "Papal secretary Father Colin Michener is concerned for the Pope. Night after restless night, something coaxes Pope Clement XV to the Vatican's private archive--something concerning the revelations of Fatima. When the Pope sends Michener on a mysterious errand to the Romanian highlands, perilous events unfold and Michener finds himself embroiled in suspicion, deceit, suicide, and murder. Suddenly he is forced to face the very thing that has so distressed the Pope--and must unravel a mystery that will shake the world."

Well, this was an interesting read. I've always been a sucker for Marian apparitions and secrets revealed, so this book was very interesting indeed. The insight into the politics of the Catholic Church was rather disheartening, even for an anti-Church Catholic like me. I couldn't decide if the author was pro-Catholic or anti-Catholic as I was reading; since authors have complete control over the worlds they create, I suppose the end of the book is my answer.
