This book should be required reading for everyone! It's the most inspiring story of what it's really like to struggle and still be grateful for what you have. I think of Francie all the time ; her love of books and visiting the library, plus the way she adored her father actually hurt my heart. This story made me feel so blessed to have all that I have today.
If I were stranded on a desert island with only a few books to read, this would definitely be one of them.
