Anabel Dean's 1978 book explains the history and future of fire fighting. Dean explores how fire departments are organized and established as well as the people, tools and techniques of the trade.
Today, many technological advancements have made the fire fighting industry a lot safer and a lot more challenging. Computers, medical procedures, and new developemnts in chemistry and physics have progressed the skill and success of fire fighters nation wide.
This library bound book is well illustrated and includes an indepth study of one of society's most important departments.
This book is a discard from our middle school library. While I would love to circulate it in the wild, it has a very limited appeal and I have decided to donate it to the YMCA for the summer book sale. I am confident that the book will find a good home there even if it isn't popular.
Donated between June1, 2007 and July 25, 2007 to the YMCA Booksale at Carondolet Branch of the St. Louis Area YMCA. Happy Reading!
