This book has been on my TBR list since I first heard of it. I don't think it will languish on Mt. TBR very long. Picked it up last weekend at B&N on a paperback sale table.

Well, so much for it didn't languish very long!LOL. But with that being said, it's a very good book. Takes place in an era I love to read about, early part of the 20th century. And this has made me want to read more about WWI, sadly something I know very little about really. I lost my paternal grandfather to that war so many years ago. My father was but 2 I believe when his father died. The mystery is good, but its not what I would call a page turner. This book affected me more emotionally; I'd find myself slowing down to understand what was happening in the story, rather than racing through it. I will definitely be reading more in this series. (And a game I can't help playing, I picture who I think the character looks like. I see Kate Beckinsale for Maisie.) Book is now available.

This book was brought home after the The Annual Random House Book Fair.

The BookCrossers of BC in DC helped host a table where people were free to browse and take books for free. This book was not selected from the table and I brought it home with me for release somewhere else.

Thanks Katiesmama for sending this book out into the wild. I loved it -- a fast read, a bit of history and a strong female lead. Picked the book up for free at The Book Thing: bring as much as you like, take as much as you like. They truly spread books around. www.bookthing.org It will be released back at The Book Thing shortly.
