Once-prosperous eighty-two-year-old Iris Chase reflects on her far from exemplary life and in particular the events surrounding her sister's tragic death.

A masterful piece of storytelling. Guessed the end, though.

Well, I got this today and I must say that I haven't even hyper-ventilated (which is good cuz I didn't have my paper bag with me!), and it's a big book too!
I now have 5 BC rings/rays with me, so it'll probably take me a while to get to this book, but luckily the list of participants is not very long so I won't feel too guilty if I keep it for more than a month ;-)))

Thanks a lot shnedwards for organising all these rays. About the timing, well I guess that with that many bookrays, and most of them going to the same participants, it's bound to happen that someone gets them all at the same time, no matter how you much you try to prevent it ;-))))

I finally got around to read it and I really enjoyed it§ It was a bit confusing at first and it took me 40pp or so to get used to the constant swaps between the 'stories' in the book but after that I got quite hooked to the story.
I am not going to tell much more as I don't want to spoil the fun for the other readers.

I agree with you Shnedwards, it is a masterpiece of storytelling.

The book was posted to Hengameh on Friday 11. Didn't get around journalling before as I was travelling.
Hope you like it!

the book arrived two weeks ago and i started it then. now it's finished and i'm glad that i had this opportunity to read a book from this author. it was hard to start and continue but after a few pages it really interested me. it was very well written and so firm and actually a little depressing but as i said i really enjoyed it. thanks a lot for sharing . i will ask for the next bxer address.
