Pride and Prejudice

I actually kind of cheated with this book and saw the most recent film adaptation before I read the novel. I usually prefer not to do that because often seeing a movie will take away from the experience of reading its book, but I was actually quite fortunate with this one; I thought that the film was very true to the story in this case. But enough about that - this is a very readable book even though it is older, and even now it still proves to be popular (I have several friends who say they are waiting for their Mr. Darcy!). I didn't get into this book quite as much as some others have seemed to, but nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is the first Austen novel I've read, and I'm looking forward to reading others.

This is a great idea - my team from work went to the park for a lunch picnic and found the book. It is my boss' favorite book, but she allowed me to "catch" the book. I am reading it now and really enjoying it.

I made the previous Anonymous entry before I became a member. I am in the process of reading but it is a little slow since I know the Movie and TV version very well - love that Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy.
I also took a little break to read the last Harry Potter book but have picked it up again.

Finally finished the book and am passing to my boss to read.
