I was being very selective when I attended a Lions' Charity Booksale last weekend, restricting choices really to New Zealand books to keep for the BC Anniversary Convention in Christchurch in 2009.
On the way out, feeling very pleased that I'd not done the usual getting carried way with enthusiasm, spotted this one and just had to purchase it.
I'd so enjoyed two books of Paullina Simons that I'd read earlier.

Eleven Hours is a suspense novel that carries the reader through eleven excruciating hours alternating between the victim (Didi) and the progress of the FBI with her husband, as they look for her. Started reading about midnight and read far too long. Eventually had to put the light out but picked it up as soon as I woke. Read off and on between packing boxes to move house but finished it by midday.
From bookcover:
„Didi Wood, eight-and-a-half months pregnant with her third child, heads to a mall to get out of the oppressive Dallas heat and get some shopping done. She is supposed to meet her husband for lunch at one o´clock. By 1:45, she still isn´t there - she´s riding down the highway at breakneck speed, with a madman at the wheel. His name is Lyle, and he has abducted her from a department store parking lot. But why he´s done this, and what he wants, are anyone´s guess. Now the police and the FBI have to somehow track him down. And a very pregnant Didi must keep herself and her unborn child alive at any price - even as they ride closer and closer into the darkest chamber of a psychopath´s mind ..."

Paullina Simons is the international best-selling author of novels such as Tully, Red Leaves, The Bronze Horseman and Tatiana and Alexander.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have the others of Paullina's that I have read. Glad I wasn't pregnant as I read this one though. Highly recommended.

was given this book @ McLeans Beach, Tasman District by a fellow campervaner.
I took it to the Anatori River, Northwest Nelson to read while whitebaiting. A good Read by a popular author. Will pass this on to my sister who will take it back to Tauranga with her :)
