The Back of the Book
As a child, Rose dreams of travelling to far-flung places, particularly to Rosetta, the mysterious town in Egypt after which she is named. Transfixed by this exotic world, she imagines that one day she will visit the land of hieroglyphs and history. But instead Rose must marry the handsome and duplicitous Harry Fallon. With Harry, Rose discovers passion, but also a terrible secret - and so she sets out alone on a journey to Egypt, determined to learn the truth about her husband's past and to realise her long-held desire for adventure.
Set in London, Paris and Egypt, amidst the conflict and upheaval of the French REvolution, Rosetta is an enthralling tale of adventure from the author of The Mesmerist.

It took me a while to get into this book, but once I did I loved it.
It deals with love, hatred, life journeys and the power women had over their destiny at the time of the French Revolution.
