The second part of the book offers commonsense answers to specific questions relating to all areas of child-rearing, from infancy through teens.

As a self-help junkie, I have "heard" almost everything and found no new insights in this book. It did help me realize that I'm not alone in having been screamed at as a child and that I can "stop the cycle" (more self-help talk). My deepest thanks to all the women who told their stories in the book...I'm a bit frustrated that mothers are not allowed to express anything other than unabashed joy at the thought of their families and it was nice to hear that I'm not the only non-Stepford mother out there.
