WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Very odd book - black humour and an awful lot of fencing. I don't think it quite hit the mark, although I could see what the author was trying to do.
Released at today's meet up, but didn't see who took it, or whether it stayed on the table.

Now that I'm safely home in Wellington after a rather bumpy flight back on Monday night I can register this book. Looks interesting. I'd no intention of taking even one book from the breakfast meet-up so it really must have caught my attention.
I'll be sure to journal it when I've read it and then send it on its merry way. Really like the Boirina bookplate. She is a clever designer.

Well! What a read!
This book is really odd. It’s amazing how simple the story is, but how it holds your attention the entire way through. I just kept turning page after page, fascinated by the unremarkable events in the unremarkable lives of three unremarkable men. And then every few chapters or so, the most remarkable event crops up and is treated in the most remarkably unremarkable way.
Nothing like anything I've read before. Fencing contractors! What a mundane sort of life one would think, and it is mundane but nevertheless I found it compelling reading.

I didn't actually finish this book, I didn't even get half way through it. However I'm giving it a 6 as I suspect the book itself is ok it just isn't for me. Very black sense of humour which I do actually enjoy but this just didn't make me smile. Possibly I should have persevered but so many other books out there that i want to read I decided to just put it down.
