Picked up at the Burnside Bookerama. I really enjoy Russell Hoban's imagination.
Fascinating. Mulling this story over is going to be keep me occupied for a while.
I particularly enjoyed the language of this story - there were moments all through the book when I would have a good smile over how the author has corrupted the language just enough to be difficult to read, but not so much you couldn't figure out what was meant (party cools of stoan, Saul and Peter, Salt 4, pul datter, for instance).
