A little bird told me another BookCrosser has DBF books on her wish list. Your wish is my command!

From the Publisher
Set off the coast of Charleston, South Carolina, Anna Lutz Abbot thinks she has her independence, and therefore her happiness, intact. She is a capable woman, a sensible woman, not someone given to risky living. This all seems true enough until her lovely daughter returns from college for the summer a very different person, her wild and wonderful ex-husband arrives, and her flamboyant new best friend takes up with her daddy, turning a hot summer into a steaming one. All the action unfolds under the watchful eyes of Miss Mavis and Miss Angel, her next-door neighbors of a certain age, who have plenty to say about Anna's past, present, and future.

This is one that I have already read. After reading a DBF, I headed to the library to find another one. Except, they didn't have any. So, I bought this one, read it carefully, then donated it to the library. They've added a couple to their shelves since then. ;-)

I'll find it a good home.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

This is the second copy of this book to cross my bookshelves. I bought the first one and donated it to the library.

This was probably my favorite of Ms Frank's books. I loved the place, the people, and the subject. I have come to believe that I must have lived on a South Carolina island at some point in my past. It all feels so natural.

I am planning a mass release around town to celebrate my birthday and my 5th BC-versary--the best birthday present I ever gave myself!!

Books will be left all around town, so keep your eyes open!!

Edited to add that somehow, this didn't end up part of my birthday release. I have no idea why. Instead, at a 4th of July party today, I gave it to my new friend. We found we have tons of things in common, and I'm hoping that BC will be one more thing.

I "caught" the book from Texas Wren on the 4th of July. It was a great summer read. I'm going to release the book in my hometown beauty salon. The girls there are always reading between customers and since the main character in the book owns a salon, I thought it would be a good place to let the book travel.
