Thyme of Death (China Bayles 1)

After sampling one book in this series, I'm looking forward to starting at the beginning and reading them all. This is the first China Bayles novel.
This is a pretty good mystery. The plot resolution was true to all facts that preceded it. The author sustained suspense in that a strong suspect was presented, with means, motive, and opportunity. Yet there was non-factual evidence that weighed in her favor -- she was guilty, but you didn't want her to be. The characters and setting are strong enough that I will read more of this series. I'm not sure they're strong enough (at least not to me, not yet) to endure a long lapse between readings, so I plan to find the others and go through them pretty quickly.
