Going All The Way

Can't remember when or where I got this. Plan to read soon.
Written in 1970, the book chronicles the story of two Army veterans returning from the Korean war to their hometown of Indianapolis - although they'd gone to high school together, they hadn't known each other, and struck up a friendship on the train returning home.
It tells the tale of their trying to adapt to civilian life again, whether or not to use their GI Bill and return to college, and trying to meet women (this whole scenario is somewhere I've been before, at a different time of course, so I could really relate).
I read another novel by this author called Home Free, about 20 years ago, and really liked it a lot - the dialogue and narration here reminds me a lot of that, kind of easy-going and realistic.
