Robert Goddard is a master of the mystery genre. Beware - if you read one of his books, you'll probably want to read them all 16 or more off the reel!
This story, set in England and the island of Rhodes, introduces Harry Barnett, an enduring Goddard hero who returns in later books.

I am a BAD bookcrosser. I didn'r make an entry when this book first arrived as a RABCK from the delightful Miketrollstigen. Better late than never.
My first experience of this author, hopefully not my last.
Ifound myself having worked out most of it and was somehow a little disappointed at the ending but overall, a good read and a kind thought from my friend in Wales.
Oh, I just scrolled down and found that this is part of a series so I will be looking for more. Poor Mt TBR!

This was an author new to me and I wouldn't mind reading another although I possibly wouldn't PAY for one.
Passing on to a fellow bookcrosser who came and kidnapped me for the afternoon.
