I have never read a book by this author before. Based on this one, I will read others. It is not a fast-paced, cliff-hanging book but it is solidly written and had enough teasers (evidence) for me to not know who to think did it until after about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through the book. I liked the characters although I think if I had read the other books in this series first, I would have a better understanding of the characters.

I loved how she workedin the herb aspect (I like herbs) and I was impressed with the way she worked in the witches/wicca aspect. Most people believe they understand wicca and get the details wrong. She obviously did her homework in this area and I appreciate that.

I think I will look for her earlier books in this series -- to read and then to set free.
