This is an extremely silly story about people deliberately conflating their ethnicities -- an Australian writing about French people pretending to be Greek. It's light-hearted, funny and rather daft.

Picked up from xoddam today when we had lunch in Foundation Park, The Rocks, with Littlemave, Pixette, servalan, goodthinkingmax & Fleebo. Ta.
An irreverent, satirical take on food & travel writing. It is an amusing & farcical tale, & I enjoyed it.
cover:
Not another travel memoir... but an inspired send-up of all those lavender-scented, olive-oil-drizzled, herb-encrusted memoirs of Provence.
On the lookout for the next big thing in food, New York trendspotter Peter Noirelle is drawn into his estranged father's culinary scam... Greque-en-Provence, a frightful fusion of French and Greek cuisine aimed at turning a tiny (and none too innocent) Provencal village into a money spinner. The primal forces of fate, farce and fondue are in the hands of something wickedly funny.
Will anyone swallow it?
