This is a powerful and emotional book about the Holocaust. It is a simple book to read and a fast read. It was on Oprah's Book Club and she also conducted an essay contest about the book. I recommend it to everyone. This book is about Elie Wiesel's memories of the death of his family, the death of his childhood, and despair. This book is a new translation by his wife, thus this is the most accurate and detailed account of the event.
