The second half of this book was a little boring. This is one of the reasons I do believe this account. Nothing sensational was added to spice it up. Just the facts were covered. I believe it was a true account of heaven. I really don't believe that the human brain, going through that much trauma, has the capability to deceive itself, as some scientists claim. There wasn't anything far out like a dream might have. No Abe Lincoln or talking gopher, beaver, whatever that thing is on the sleep medication commercial. Also, everyone he encountered after his death was dead. He could have easily had visions of family and friends still alive, if this wasn't for real. Everyone he encountered was dead. Once again, I don't think a person would be that capable of deceiving themselves in such a crisis. Lastly, if he was a flat out liar, the book would have been juiced up a bit and less boring.
I was very moved by the first half that covered his accident and trip to heaven.

This is being loaned out. It will be posted at PBS when I get it back, because it is on a lot of wish lists.
