A very moving book that brings Afghanistan alive. I loved this story and felt so involved with the characters I cried buckets!

What a fabulous book! I couldn't put it down after a little while because it was riveting. The writing is so good that you really care about what happens to the characters. It's such a moving story - you'll be gripped.

This book is absolutely lovely. Don't be put off by the blurb - even if you're usually into Stephen King and Gresham.
This book was caught at the December London meetup. I've not read it yet but I'm going to take it on holiday with me next week and will read and release it while I'm there.
It took me a good while to get into this book (the tiny print didn't help) but I was glad I persisted with it. Once it got going the story was so moving. I really wanted to help Amir but was just powerless to do anything other than read on and hope he saved Sohrab.
I didn't get this finished while I was away so it will be released again at the London meetup this evening.
