The story of Barbara Brown Taylor's path to an Episcopalian priesthood and her later decision to leave her position as church pastor, but continue on her spiritual path full-fledge. It is labeled "A Memoir of Faith," and it is indeed just that. Some descriptions I've read seem to imply that it is a criticism of the church. I did it not find that to be true. While she briefly occasionally mentions some of her disagreements with church traditions, she is obviously still very respectful of church and continues to speak at churches in her role as priest. Meaningful and thought-provoking book that gives insight into the lives of pastors in general.
