Another great China Bayless story. I am reading the entire series (also the B. Potter mysteries). Good mystery with little blood/gore or the need to do more that suggest a great legal - sexual relationship. In those areas author sees herself as able to maintain an audience without sacrificing dignity and class. Characters of intelligence (or else wonderfully and playfully described - love the accent in some of them). Personally I garden and like herbs, so that is a nice plus, but certainly not necessary for enjoyment of the pursuit of mysterious happenings. Some occasional forshadowing (at times a bit more that I would prefer), but not overdone. Refreshing!
