Like the knitting mysteries this is a baking mystery - a light story set in a Minnesota town, where Hannah owns The Cookie Jar - a bakery of cookies and tartes - and likes to snoop into murder and mysteries. One day a film is made in this small town and at one point the Director shoots himself while he explains how to take a set. The question arises, whether he shot himself on purpose or whether someone wanted to kill him or the actor whose part he was explaining. In the end Hannah is able to solve the mystery - fortunately without any embarrasing and silly showdown of kidnapping or other activities.
A light read - especially for those, who love to read about an American town and the cozy world these kind of books like to create.

I can't say no to a cosy mystery :-)
This is my first Hannah Swenson Mysteries and it is a wonderful, make you smile, very cozy mystery (not scary, gory, or sad) and it is actually really good at "keep you guessing". Plus if you are someone who likes to bake you will love all the recipes.
