Fascinating in a grim sort of way. Crime fiction but not a mystery as you know from the beginning who did it - it's more a case of "will they get away with it?" Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Originally written in Japanese - reading this made me appreciate that translating something like this is an art in itself.

Picked up from the book buffet at the Convention. This looks like the kind of edgy novel I might enjoy, so thanks for bringing it along!

This book is unlike anything I have ever read before: a quite dark look at a sort of Japanese subculture. It is long - much longer than it looks - but intriguing all the way through. Several times I wondered where the writer was going with the story arc, but I wasn't disappointed at all with the outcomes.

I've just found this in my work cupboard. I picked it up as it is a thriller set in Tokyo and I used to live there but I haven't read it yet so will pass it on to someone else. It looks abit too horror story for me!
