Egypt, Valley of the Kings, the present day. A body is found amongst some ruins. It appears to be an open-and-shut case but the more Inspector Yusuf Kalifa of the Luxor police uncovers about the dead man, the more uneasy he becomes. And his investigation turns out to be anything but routine. Was quite looking forward to reading this book - it claims to be the intelligent readers Da Vinci Code (or something like that). Well I must be really thick - the book jumped between locations and got me quite confused. It didn't really grip me until Part Three - and even then, the ending wasn't as I'd have hoped.
