PostSecret book just arrived!
I have read the PostSecret site [http://postsecret.blogspot.com/] regularly for about six months now and I really like the idea, and the fact that most of the postcards sent in the site are true pieces of art.
I suppose this book contains secrets I haven't seen in the net, since PostSecret was founded over an year before I found the site. That's one reason why I'm really interested in reading this. Thanks for the bookring, unknowncritic!

I was right - this book contained secrets that I haven't seen in the PostSecret website. The book is quite big in size, but it's quick to read, and I just have to give it full points.
As I said earlier, I think the whole PostSecret project is a brilliant idea. Art can be very therapeutic, and I like to think at least some people have found help or consolidation from creating and sending the postcards containing their secrets to Frank or from reading these secrets. At least I find it consolidating to read the secrets and seeing that I'm not alone with my own secrets.
In this collection there are all kinds of secrets you can imagine: sad ones, horrible ones, funny ones, weird ones. What's common with all of them is that they are so very human. And that's the thing I love about them most.
I have vexter's address and I will send the book to Slovenia on Monday.

Sent to vexter.
EDIT 29. January: I just wanted to say WOW, that book sure got to Slovenia quickly, even though I sent it economy! I sure am glad I did, because priority mail would have cost twice the price and quite probably wouldn't have been any quicker. Anyway, good to see that it reached the next reader :)

Journal Entry 7 by vexter from Ljubljana, Osrednja Slovenija - Okolica Ljubljane in Ljubljana Slovenia on Sunday, February 4, 2007
Wow. Just wow. I'm a regular reader of the PostSecret website, so I knew what to expect, but it was a fantastic experience nonetheless. It's really amazing how creative people can be, and how we are all (more or less) the same, despite our differences. Btw, I realized I don't judge or condemn any of the secrets or people behind them, except one. The person who switched parking tickets so he/she wouldn't have to pay! Now that was sneaky. :))
it's here!!! :)) I'm so excited! more when I finish it...
Thank you! All of you who helped this wonderful book come to me. It woke up so many different feelings in me. It's so human. Maybe it's not nice to say, but when I saw some of the secrets, I realized how happy I am and how many less fortunate people are out there.
The book is on its way to louraloo29.

Arrived safe and sound today. Thank you! It looks like a fun read. :)
Interesting. My husband noted so many of them are sad. Secrets often are. :(
I can't afford to mail this out until March 19th. Its too heavy to add to my next mailing pile. Thank you for sharing!
According to Canada Post tracking - successfully delivered on March 31st.

Got this safe and sound last weekend! I am sorry that I forgot to journal it the day it arrived!! (houseful of relatives for the weekend) My grown kids and I enjoyed this book. I love to read the website every Sunday. Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
The book has safely made it to Colorado. And I already started reading (got it about 30 minutes ago out of the mail box) -- it is quite addictive. I have already noticed there are secrets that bring tears to my eyes ("I know he doesn't love me anymore") and ones that have made me laugh (I used to think the rythym was going to get me") Thanks to unknowncritic for sharing this!!
Finished this just now. And wow, it is just amazing to me what people have sent in. I am sure there are those that made up things just because they could, but sadly, I think there are more that truly poured out their hearts to noone and everyone and mailed it.
I am actually keeping this on my Amazon wishlist, as I want a copy to keep.
Thanks so much for sharing!!
I will be mailing it off to sistert in the morning.

Received and read in the same day. A fascinating book/art project. Some "secrets" are works of art just in the telling. Some are sad, some art funny, and some are just a bit odd in my opinion. It did get me thinking though. Don't you have a secret that you've never told anyone that would be fascinating to reveal anonymously? I know I do. =)

Definately a quick, easy read. As a matter of fact, I've never finished any ring/ray in a day before!
As far as the book, the art is incredible. And the secrets, they ran a whole gamut of emotions. Shhh... I read part of it outside and I can only hope that my neighbors didn't hear my outbursts of laughter.
6/16/07 Mailed!
this arrived in the mail yesterday - thanks sillysilhouette and unknowncritic! I took it with me to a friend's house - our kids were having a play date, and we read it together with many comments provoked and "oh that reminds me!" stories shared. It's a great book, and such a great idea. I really felt that the layout of the book was really artistic as well. My husband has asked to see the book as well, and then I will be sending it along.
ugh, I am so sorry it took so long to get the post office - I dunno what happened. Anyway, it is finally on its way to cinnycat.
Thanks again unknowncritic.
Thanks again unknowncritic.
sigh, the book returned to me in the mail, marked that the packaging had been damaged. I will send it out again, hopefully today.
Olay, it's been re-mailed. Here's hoping.

Wow, I loved this. Some of the post cards were SO creative and the secrets SO intense that maybe one person was making a bunch of fake secrets and sending them in? I would never have the guts to mail one of my own secrets into the world. My mail lady would read it!! It could be identified by my fingerprints!! Luckily, I don't think I have too many secrets anyway. Imagine being one of the people that DID send a secret into Post Secret and then it was included in the book! Would that person point out to all their friends and family "Look, my secret is in this book!" (but of course in the process outing their secret!)
