This is a very, very good book. Now I understand why it's so much in demand, despite the fact it's not newly-written. I recently read that it's such a revered book in Canada, Atwood's native land, that it is mandatory reading in a lot of high schools (funny: I grew up in Canada and am ashamed to say I never heard of Atwood until I moved to the U.S.! Then again, I was born in Quebec, and the emphasis there is primarily French writers and literature, and English stuff is often treated shabbily or with a marked and derogatory hatred).

I'm putting it up for grabs on AVL status temporarily, as I'll probably release it into the wild on my upcoming trip out West. In fact, unless it gets requested from me within the next 5 days (highly unlikely!) it's off into the RV with it, and then off to Texas and Colorado it'll go!
