Les Miserables
1 journaler for this copy...
This is one of the best books I have ever read. Poetic, historical and profound. Many people that I know who have read it unfortunetly did not like it due to those very elements. At times, Hugo digresses into rather lengthly descriptions of historical and geographical significance, but I believe that it adds to the story by creating a strong context within which that story is set.
I just picked up this particular copy at a used bookstore in Peterborough. It's in very good condition, except for a few creases in the cover.
As this is one of my personal favourites, I am going to take my time planning it's release.
