A Good Man in Africa
3 journalers for this copy...
Purchased from Waterstones in Inverness with a Christmas gift token.
A good romp. I think the 'uproariously funny' comment on the cover overstates it a bit but well worth reading. No doubt it would be a useful manual for anyone working for the British Foreign Office ;-)
Reserved for ancient-welly.
Sent to ancient-welly who am sure will find it of interest.
Ready to read.
What preposterous piffle! What arrant twaddle! A calculated slur upon the Diplomatic Corps!
(And yet a reflection of Britain's diminished role in Africa - apart from propping up the ex-pats in Nairobi, of course!) Who said that? A bounder of the first water! (Perhaps it was the Scots that gave the Empire its impetus, after all (what an apalling thought!!.) And the English were just alot of languid drones.)
