I happened to spot this one at Goodwill, and knew someone was looking for a copy. So I grabbed this, and it will soon be going off to a new home.

I read this last year, and absolutely loved it. Hope everyone else reading it enjoys it too!

From the cover -
She was elusive. She was today. She was tomorrow. She was the faintest scent of a cactus flower, the flitting shadow of an elf owl. We did not know what to make of her. In our minds we tried to pin her to corkboard like a butterfly, but the pin merely went through and away she flew.

Thank you so much, MaryZee, you are wonderful. :) Regarding your lovely postcard, I feel very lucky to live in a house full of BookCrossers, it's fab!

I'll talk to the BCer who runs the other bookring, Tabby-cat-owner, and I'm sure we can work out how to keep it going!

Erm. I don't think there's much I can say about this. I'm still kind of overwhelmed by the ending... It was lovely, very lovely. I would recommend it. :)

Hellie is next on the former bookring, and here's the remaining list:

  • Hellie (UK) No response
  • Whitehorsy (Belgium)
  • Jessicaloveyou (Singapore)

5th February 2007
No word from Hellie, so I've PMed and heard from Whitehorsy - I'll be posting it on hopefully tomorrow.

The book arrived a few days ago, thanks for sending it along lottiotta! I've got one book I want to finish first, so I'll probably start on 'Stargirl' tomorrow.

Oops, the Anonymous Finder would be me! I'm on my parents PC and forgot to log in!

This is a lovely little book. A beautiful story with a true meaning. I've just finished reading it and actually I'm still thinking about it... some books just leave you that way.

Jessicaloveyou doesn't seem to be active anymore... so I'm the last one on the list. I would love to see this book traveling a bit further though. First I'm going to pass it on to my mum (who's following English lessons). When she's finished with it I would like to turn this book into a ray again... if there's any interest... otherwise it'll become a RABCK. :-)

This was delivered early this week, but I just made it to the post office today. I was laid off and had to do the job hunt shuffle all week, but now I have a better job making more money. Yay!

I'm going to relax and read over the Memorial Day long weekend. Hopefully, I'll finish Stargirl before I have to return to the grind.

Well, this took me longer to read than I would have thought for several reasons. One, life has been busy busy busy, just lately and two, because Stargirl was so charming, that I wanted to make it last.

Thank you for sharing, whitehorsy. I have fairydustwings address and will send Stargirl along in the next day or two.

Follow-up:

I have a PM from fairydustwings dated 7/6/07, at which time, she stated that she''d try to get this book read and moved along within the next couple of days. I''m not sure why she hasn''t journaled it, or the current status of it, but I wanted everyone to know the most up-to-date information.

I loved this book! It really shoots home how wonderful individuality and eccentricity is. So often differences are looked down on in high school and throughout life but differences make this world so much more fun and interesting. This book made me want to embrace what was different about me and to love differences in others.

I am so sorry it took me so long to move this book on to the next person. Life got really crazy for a while and it is just starting to get under control. This will be off to the next person in the next few days.
