Catnap

The first in the Midnight Louie mystery series. In general I don't go for "cat" mysteries, but this series was quite appealing for the first few books.

Picked up whilst having lunch with kirst040 & xoddam today. I've only read 1 Midnight Louie mystery before so it's time to see what he's up to again.
At an Booksellers' conference in Las Vegas, public relations expert Temple Barr and feline detective Midnight Louie come face to face when a publisher is dispatched with a knitting needle, and a pair of Scottish Folds disappear. Temple thinks she solved it herself, but Louie knows better.
An OK tale, or is that tail? Temple strikes me as a bit of a twit (or maybe I'm just irritated by feisty, petite redheads with high-heel fetishes), the story didn't flow well & Louie's pieces are a bit too obvious - Douglas seems to be using him to explain things to, what she believes to be, a very dim audience. Perhaps I am a dim audience, because I'll try a couple more, but I don't think I'd bother if I didn't already have a few of them.
