I picked this book up at Panera's in Cedar Rapids, IA...left there by who knows who?? I like reading about someones real adventures especially when I've read things from that persons imagination. I've read several of his books...actually a few is closer to correct. I found it interesting that he wrote The Andromeda Strain while in med school. I'm registering this book to see what happens to it. I intend to give it to my doctor...he likes Crichton and if he doesn't have the desire or time to read it I will ask that he pass it on...leave it some where...you know...turn it loose!

A parish nurse shared this book with my husband, noted in the previous comment, who's always been interested in Michael Crichton. I pulled the book from the bookcase one snowy afternoon. We love travel and were thinking about Africa. I finished the book today and booked our trip. I'm sending the book to my cousin, he's planning his second African trip.
