Journal Entry 1 by Anne-Tarctica from Glasgow, Scotland United Kingdom on Thursday, December 21, 2006
After a slow start, I found this book hard to put down. Very moving, and very sad. Different, but a book we should read to make us aware of what has taken place in the name of civilisation.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Picked it up on 22/12/06 in Costa Coffee part of Southbound Tebay Services - Ann must have been sitting right behind me! This was my first introduction to Book Crossings - you have a convert.
Book is a beautifully written, fictional and historical account of one man's journey from struggling penury in the London of 200 years ago, through misfortune, to new found freedom and prosperity in the new world of the Antipodes. An inevitable atmosphere and conclusion hang over the story but do not detract from the experience.
Well worth the read and sorry for the late posting of this reviow and information.
Book travelled all the way down to Cornwall and back to Scotland with me, aswell as out to Morroco and back. Was released to a friend of mine in a book club in Stirling approx. early March.
