Journal Entry 1 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Wednesday, December 13, 2006
I picked this up at Cardiff airport today! I was visiting my family last week and wanted to use up my left over pounds and what better way to do that than to buy books :)

This one was from my wishlist and was part of a 2 for 20 pounds sale. I really like this author and can't wait to read this newest book!

Journal Entry 2 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Wednesday, December 27, 2006
This was funny and witty! I wonder how the author managed to get away with some of the stuff she wrote without any complaints :)

I will be passing this on to some friends who may enjoy reading it!

Excellent! Although the talking dogs I found annoying and could not really see what they had to offer the plot. It is certainly one vision of a future for the "German Tourists" as Johhny Rotten once described them.

Fabulous!° Brought back lots of lovely memmories of how much i loved Adrian Mole when I was a teenager. Acutely observed, sharp as a tack and hilarious as always. A fitting testament to why Britain is going right to the dogs (not literally).

I quite liked the book, though I didn't think it was as brilliant as "The Queen and I". I agree with HallCaine, the dog storyline just didn't do it for me. Will pass it on to SabinaLorenz on Friday.

Journal Entry 14 by SabinaLorenz from Wien Bezirk 19 - Döbling, Wien Austria on Sunday, November 16, 2008
Thanks for verenka and allbookedup for providing me with the book!
Although I had some other things to do, I had to start reading on Friday after the Orga-meeting and was able to finish it yesterday.
Somehow it is a resumption of 1984 - all the rules and bans...
I didn't mind reading about speaking dogs and I liked the complete story.
I was somehow eager to find out, how the Royal Family is able to get rid of their son and the final solution is rather handy. He definitely is not somebody who can be loved easily. He would be the perfect spy in radical and totalitarian regimes. I found it very annoying, that he was working against his own family - and then he has the guts to ask for their help. (I know, it is only a story, however his bad behavior was disgusting.)
Dwayne Lockhart on the contrary was a nice man and I would have expected to see him transferred to the Palace guard or something similar.
Generally I liked the book and I am glad I got it. Thanks again!
