But every day the dwindling crew becomes more deranged and mutinous, until Crozier begins to fear there is no escape from an ever-more-inconceivable nightmare.

Wow.

A very long, intense story. 769 pages. It was a bit confusing at first, until I figured out it was bouncing back and forth, between years. They are listed at the beginning of the chapter and one must pay attention to them. I enjoyed it very much though the ending was NOT at all what I expected.
