I could not get involved with the characters in this novel. I found the heroine to be utterly uncompelling and the supporting characters thin. Definitely not Atwood's best work and not what I expected of her! Having said that, I gave it a 5 because I did want to find out what happened to Rennie at the end. Unfortunately, I was totally unsatisfied with her "transformation"...
