Journal Entry 6 by cbostler from Sandy, Utah USA on Saturday, December 9, 2006
This is an entertaining, inspiring book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
I am going to keep it one more day so I can re-read my favorite segments, and then send it on to spoiledrotten in New Jersey.

I have taught second graders for more than thirty-three years. While I am an enthusiastic reader, I have to admit that about 445 of the 460 books I've read this year have been children's books. So I set two goals for myself. First, I wanted to be a part of a Bookcrossing ray; and second, I wanted to read something that would not appeal to an eight-year-old. Contacting debnance about The Secret Life of Bees was a
wise decision, and provided a very rewarding experience for me!
I look forward to following the continued travels of this book.

Journal Entry 7 by spoiledrotten from Waldwick, New Jersey USA on Thursday, December 14, 2006
Got this book in the mail yesterday. Will read as soon as I am done with my current book. Thanks for including me.

This was a very poignant story about a little girl who has lost her mother & is raised by a very angry father. When she becomes a young teen she runs away along with her black nanny. She takes up residence with a family of three sisters who are beekeepers and while there she learns about real mother love, which is something she did not have.

The book was sent out today to sevedra.

Thnaks for including me in this ring.

hmm. Apparently, I have already read this book. I liked it. A good character study of a dissatisfied woman who remakes her life using her past to build from. I am going to read another book by Sue Monk Kidd soon! Will be sending this on soon.

Received safe and well today.

Journal Entry 19 by Fluffy-Owl from Chichester, West Sussex United Kingdom on Wednesday, May 9, 2007
I really enjoyed this. I only put it on my wishlist because so many other people had it on theirs, and I'm now very glad I did! It was a very easy book to read (nice sized font, short sections, excellent for a break from revision!) and just really well written. Am now more concerned about news reports that an indigenous English bee is not doing very well: will not be looking at bees in the same way again.

Will be in the post today.

Journal Entry 20 by mance from Newcastle Emlyn, Wales United Kingdom on Sunday, August 12, 2007
What a fantastic book. My wife read it first and thought it would be to "feminine" in perpective and content for me, but I liked it more than her. Was enthralled by the characters and narrative, but most importantly I loved Sue Monk Kidds effortless writing style and sumptuous descriptive writing. I plan on getting my own copy. Thanks to debnance for letting me be in the ring and sorry it took me so long. I wanted to savor every page and was very sad when it ended.

Journal Entry 21 by iggi1812 from Glasgow, Scotland United Kingdom on Friday, August 17, 2007
Arrived safely and added to the tbr pile. Shouldn''t be long though.
