Another book that popped up on my Amazon recommendations that I decided to try!

Please make a journal entry as soon as you recieve the book and also when you send it to the next person. Then we know where the book is!

When you are finished with the book please PM the next person on the list and ask for their address so you can send it on to them!

I would appreciate a PM from any participant who wants to leave the ring or be skipped for any reason. Please do not leave it to the last minute.

Also let us know what you thought of the book but don't give too much away!

I really liked this. Lots of action, good characters and an interesting storyline. Even better the sey parts were actually a good part of the storyline which makes a change!

This will be travelling soon as a bookring!

I really enjoyed this story. There is good and evil in it, but neither evil is entirely to be to blame nor is the good as pure as it seems so.

Dr Carrie Ames is a new doctor, not quite sure that this is the best future for her but willing to give it a try until she's attacked in the emergency room.

When she starts to change and isn't sure of what's going on she goes looking for answers and is almost killed before being rescued. The vampire who rescues her helps her understand her new life, but her sire has plans.

Fun romp of a book.

Got the book in the mail today, thanks!

I finished this yesterday and had to start on the second book immediately. ;) This book had a good storyline, and it kept me hooked until the end. There was just enough romance, and the sex scenes were really good, and they actually fit into the story, unlike the repetitious boring sex scenes usually found in the romance books I've read.

Reading this book was difficult for me at times, because Carrie's sire, Cyrus, did such horrible things, and Carrie's attachment to him was frustrating. At the same time, this was part of what made the book so good. I like the ambiguity, that there is no clear-cut line between good and evil.

I really wanted to like this book but there was something not quite right about it. Maybe it was that I didn't get to really know Carrie before she was turned, or maybe it was that Cyrus was almost "too" evil that I couldn't understand Carrie - even with the blood tie - considering staying with him. I don't know... there were definitely things to like, though - Jennifer Armintrout's writing style for one, and I loved the relationship between Nathan and Ziggy.

I do want to read the next in the series (which I have - thanks, Amberkatze!) but I'm going to read a couple of other books first. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for a serious, rather than fluffy, vampire story :-)

I have Rianonne's address and will post this on to her rather than wait to send both books together. As usual, Amber, thanks for sharing :-)

I feel bad. I obviously didn't read (till chapter 7) the same book as everyone else ... because I must say that I did not like this book at all. I didn't care for Carrie or her actions and nothing of the story kept me interested enough to read on :(
I give up now because I feel reading on is a huge waste of time - while there are so many good books on my Mt.TBR
