A weird book, but surprisingly good.

If Jesus was to appear today and announce he was the son of god, would he be treated as a messiah or a mental patient? Arthur, who declares himself the second son of god, seems very much the latter to the residents of Ponsonby. But there's something about him that makes a small but growing group of people reconsider, with profound effect on their lives. Or are they just fooling themselves, so desperate to find something to beleive in that they'll latch on to the ravings of a schizophrenic homeless man?

Found the book at a bus stop. Great read, couldn't wait to pick it up and read more. Loved the way the writer reveals each character, however flawed, as human beings each worthy of being loved and respected. A story of love and compassion that challenges our stereotypical views of 'different' folk.
Thanks for the read.

Got this book back home on a bench in the mall, and left it on a bench at San Francisco Airport. Pretty good book, bit weird but enjoyable. Hope someone actually reads it next.
