I read this to my ten-year-old daughter and we found it to be a unique and delightful. Jason and his cat travel to a succession of different times in history in which cats are featured. They first travel to ancient Egypt where cats were worshipped. The stories of how cats were introduced into different cultures is also portrayed. For example, the introduction of cats into Imperial Japan and how Saint Patrick brought the first cat to Ireland. Then, how cats were considered witches was introduced in one section. The book presents a very interesting slant on history and on life which is enjoyable to adults as well as children.

This was one that I wanted to read to my ten-year-old daughter and she enjoyed it a lot. However, it was slow going since she had school work to work on, etc.

Thank you for this lovely book. Has 2 of my favorite elements - cats and time travel. I am moving it to the top of TBR list. I actually rec'd this book a loooong time ago in a book box and never realized until today that I had not yet journaled it. I am usually very careful about journaling but somehow was careless here. So...sorry about that!!! I plan to read this SOON and then share with a bookcrosser.
