A very humourous account of how the author took on the challenge of riding the Tour de France before the professionals and what he learned about himself on the way. I don't always like it when a writer's chief tool is self-deprecation but Moore manages to pull it off with Bryson-esque aplomb.

Journal Entry 3 by Forager from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire United Kingdom on Thursday, February 15, 2007
Still there when I went in to release The Works of William Shakespeare and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Maybe it will go when the tourist season kicks off again.
Still on Exeter YHA's bookshelves when I swapped it for a book I'd brought with me and finished.
I really enjoyed this. Whilst some of the themes, such as getting lost and bad French customer service, become a little repetitive, the book is entirely redeemed by the author's good humour - in parts it's very funny indeed.
I will release this some time in the next week or so. I will probably deviate from my past approach of (generally) releasing books on trains because no-one ever seems to register their captures (London commuters are a grumpy bunch!). I'll have to think of an alternative location...
