Graves imaginatively engages with history in this seminal work that spawned an equally monumental TV series. A true work of genius that held me, spellbound, from start to finish.

3:30pm Saturday 3rd March: what a lovely surprise to find a book! Fantastic location - a niche in an ancient city wall. My dauhter, who is eight and loves books, is intrigued by the whole idea of 'Bookscrossing.' I have just finished Chapter One and look forward to reading the rest of the book; but, it may take me some time...
